Almost a Sharpie Guitar

So one of my friends asked if I could draw on his -black- guitar. First I declined- thinking it would be cool but having no time and not much inspiration and it being a black guitar with a white marker...
But he insisted it didn't have to be the greatest piece of art I ever made and it was only a cheap guitar he wanted to travel with and that he would REALLY like me to draw something on there. 

I accepted... and boy did I hate the guitar for a while glaring at me from it's corner, demanding inspiration, demanding a plan of some sort. So I sketched a few crows (he wanted crows) and I looked at my doodles and eventually just started. 

I warn you all- white markers are a pain in the ...! I had some accidents, neatly covered up again by patterns (most of them), I had a big accident, making for a bit of a messy pattern on the top- but it was the only way to remedy the spatters of white that suddenly leaked out of the marker. And finally, after it being half done for a while, I decided it needed to be finished yesterday.

This is the result. He was quite content with his newly decorated guitar- I, being the artists that I am- like some parts of it, but definitely feel the need to do a couple more for practice! Possibly with a sharpie so detail becomes easier, and possibly on some very old guitars. Then again, maybe I should just do more art. What is that with growing up that art gets pushed in the corner?!
